Kathmandu Pokhara Chitwan Tour .

In the distant dawn of unrecorded time, so legend tells us, the valley of Kathmandu was a turquoise lake with a wondrous lotus flower resting on it. Manjushree, a patriarch saint from China sliced the valley wall with his flaming sword of wisdom at Chovar and let the dry land appear. The lotus flower settled on the valley floor over which Manjushree built the great stupa of Swayambhunath. The Kathmandu valley comprises the three ancient royal cities of Patan, Bhaktapur and Kathmandu having their own palaces and ornate palace squares each listed as World Heritage sites. You will walk through the cobbled lanes of the palace squares with a fascinating maze of temples, shrines, market places and the valley life revolving around it. Included in the program are the holiest Buddhists sites that keep watches over the valley from atop a hillock and Boudhnath stupa, the largest stupa in Nepal that rises 36m and Pashupatinath, regarded as the holiest temple for the Hindus and also a site for cremation rites.

Pokhara(900m) is a beautiful valley with a panoramic view of Annapurna and Machapuchare (shape of fish tail) in the north and Dhaulagiri in the west and, Lamjung himal and Manaslu in the east. Machapuchare is just 28 km from your hotel! It looms large infront of you. Pokhara has several lakes; among them Phewa Tal (lake) is a major attraction. Most of the hotels, lodges and eating places are located on the eastern edge of the lake. It is one of the favourite tourist destination next to Kathmandu. Pokhara is linked by 200 km road with Kathmandu. The road branch out at Mugling to go to Chitwan for safari adventure. Trishuli river that runs parallel to the road provides white water rafting. It is also linked with Bhairawa and Lumbini, birth place of Gautama Buddha, by Siddhartha Rajmargh (highway). There are several flight to and from Pokhara to Kathmandu. You can also fly to Manang and Bhairawa direct from Pokhara. For the trekkers it is also the gateway to the mountainIt is famous for its view of Machapupchare peak and Phewa-lake. There are several places of tourist interest in and around Pokhara including short hike in Annapurna foothill.

Culturally rich and extraordinarily beautiful, the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal offers a wealth of spectacular sights. This journey focuses on the finest, combining the ancient sites of the Kathmandu Valley, the mountains and valleys of the Himalaya and the jungles of Chitwan, home to the rare Bengal tiger. The tour includes an option to extend your stay with a trek through the mountain villages of the Annapurna Valley.
