Annapurna Royal Trek.

This short trek follows a shrub like path along the foothills of Annapurna, north of Pokhara Valley. The ‘Royal Trek’ acquired its name after Prince Charles of England who trekked here in 1980’s. This trek commences its walking from Pokhara. Crossing Bijayapur Khola and through numerous villages with rice fields and terraced hills , this trek provides opportunities to have excellent glimpses of rural Nepalese lifestyle and their culture as well as its flora and fauna . From the top , we can view spectacular views of Mt. Annapurna I, II , III, IV, Macchapucchare , Lamjung Himal , Dhaulagiri ,and other surrounding peaks providing to the insight to the simple way of rural life .The most attracting view is to have glanced to the small villages of Brahmins, Chhetris , Gurung , Magar etc in the down valleys . The trip finally ends at the scenic Begnas Lake which is about 30 km west of Pokhara city. This trek is recommended for beginners; to those who have limited time since it provides abundance of opportunities to experience the unforgettable trekking holidays in the Himalayas. The entire trek is rather easy with occasional rather up and downhill hikes along the ridges and valleys without having worry about altitude and acclimatization as the maximum ascent on this trek is Chisapani at 1260m etc . However, this trek is also an option to extend a cultural tour of Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan and the real thrills of Nepal’s diverse ecological beauty.
