Kanchenjunga Trek.
Kanchenjunga region is very rich from the point of view of its natural beauty. In this vary region, there are three peaks above 8000mt. and as many as eleven peaks above 7000mt. A number of Glaciers originated from Himalaya have no doubt added to the beauties of this region. The Sherpas inhabit the northern part of the Kanchenjunga region whereas the southern lower part is full of the ethnic groups such as Rai, Limbu, Magar, Tamang, Brahman and Chhetri. The settlements of these ethnic groups are not so dense they are rather scattered. Since the religion are different of these ethnic Groups, different are also the traditions, usage and the ways of life.
After Mt. Everest and Mt. K2, Kanchenjunga is the third biggest peak of the world. The Kanchenjunga is situated in the eastern frontier between Nepal and India. It is 8586mt. high. This region was opened for trekking tourism only in 1988. The trekking in this area is relatively strenuous since the region is regarded as the most remote place of Nepal. However the presence of numerous wild animals, birds and flora in abundance make the trekking in this region very interesting and pleasant.

Day 01: Arrival in kathmandu 1334m
Nepal Highpoint Trekking & Expeditions representative will transfer to hotel , Kanchenjunga trekking briefing with officially arrangements. overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing
After breakfast, our tour guide will take to you for historical monuments sightseeing around kathmandu valley such as Bhkatapur, pasupatinath, Boudhhanath, kathmandu durbar square & Swaymbhunath(monkey temple) and prepare for the Kanchenjunga trekking because this day is required to make Kanchenjunga trekking permit with original passport. Overnight at kathmandu.
Day 03: Kathmandu Fly Biratnagar to Suketar 1824m trek to Mitlung 1968m. Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 04: Mitlung trek to Chhiruwa 1190m. Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 05: Chhiruwa trek to Sekathum 1640m. Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 06:Sekathum trek to Amjilessa 2490m. Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 07: Amjilessa trek to Gyapla/Kypra 2730m. Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 08: Gyapla/Kypra trek to Gunsa village 3430m. Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 09: Acclimatization or rest day in Gunsa village.
During this day you can hike up to the selele pass base camp. Overnight Gunsa at Tented Camp. Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 10: Gunsa trek to Kambachen 4040m. Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 11: Kambachen trek to Lhonak 4790m. Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 12: Lhonak trek to Pang pema (Kanchenjunga northern Base Camp) 5140m. Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 13: Pang pema base camp trek to Lhonak 4790m. Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 14: Lhonak trek to Gunsa 3430m. Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 15: Gunsa trek to Sinion/ selele Phedi 3546m Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 16: Sinion /selele phedi via Selele pass 4854m trek to Tseram 3870m Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 17: Tseram trek to Kanchenjunga Oktang Base camp back to Ramche 4620m Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 18: Ramche trek to Torontan 3256m. Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 19: Torontan Trek to Amje Khola 2340m Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 20: Amje Khola Trek to Mamanke 1810m Overnight at Tented Camp .
Day 21: Mamanke trek to Kande Bhanjang 2134m. Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 22: Kande Bhanjang trek Lali Kharka 2213m. Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 23: Lali Kharka trek to Suketar /Taplejung 1824m.Overnight at Tented Camp.
Day 24: Suketar by flight back to Kathmandu. Overnight at kathmandu Hotel.
Day 25: After breakfast, Relaxing or shopping with own activities than in the evening farewell dinner in Nepalese Restaurant, overnight at kathmandu in Hotel .
Day 26: After breakfast, Relaxing/shopping with own activities , Nepal Highpoint Trekking & Expeditions representative will drop to Kathmandu international airport for onward destination. |
