Lhasa Everest Base Camp Tour.

The Tibet with Mount Everest Base Camp Tour is a very comprehensive tour of Tibet with visits to the cultural, historic and natural attractions of Tibet. The tour includes all the important places of interest in central & south Tibet including a visit to Rongphu Monastery and Mt. Everest Base Camp. After flying in to Lhasa from Kathmandu, Chengdu or Beijing, explore the cultural and historic sites of Lhasa, Shigatse and Gyantse. Afterwards drive overland, in 4-WD jeeps, across the Tibetan highlands and high passes to the fabled Rongphu Monastery and Mt. Everest Base Camp from where the view of the great North face of Mount Everest is the most spectacular of all. From Ronbphu drive across along the Friendship Highway through the Himalayas to Kathmandu, Nepal.

Itinearary in Details

Day 1: ARRIVE LHASA
Fly Kathmandu, Chengdu or Beijing to Lhasa in Tibet. Transfer to hotel in Lhasa. Afternoon ree for rest and acclimatize. Hotel.
Day 2-3 : LHASA SIGHTSEEING
In Lhasa visit Potala Palace, Norbulinka, Drepung & Sera monasteries, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Bazaar. Hotel.
Day 4: LHASA - GYANTSE
Drive to Gyantse passing the Yamdrok Tsho (Turquoise Lake) and crossing the Karo La pass. Visit The Khumbhum Stupa & Phalkor Monastery. Hotel.
Day 5: GYANTSE - SHALU - SHIGATSE
Drive Gyantse to Shigatse. Enroute visti Shalu Monastery. Hotel.
Day 6: SHIGATSE - SHAKYA - XEGAR
After visiting the Tashilungpo Monastery drive across Tsoula and Gyatsola pass to Xhegar. Enroute visit Sakya Monastery. Hotel.
Day 7: XEGAR - RONGPHU MONASTERY
Drive over Pangla pass to Rongphu Monastery situated below the giant North Face of Mt. Everest. Rongphu Monastery Guest House.
Day 8: Mt. EVEREST BASE CAMP
Day hike to North Mount Everest Base Camp and Rongphu Glacier (8 kms each way). Rongphu Monastery Guest House.
Day 9: RONGPHU - NYALAM or ZAMGMU
Drive over the Himalayas and down to Tibet-Nepal border town of Nyalam or Zangmu. Enroute visit Milerapa Cave. Hotel.
Day 10: ZANGMU - KATHMANDU
Cross the Friendship Bridge into Nepal and drive to Kathmandu. End of Lhasa, Everest basecamp to Kathmandu Tour.

Day 11: Leisure day in Kathmandu
Leisure day in Kathmandu, If you are interested in continuing onto Chitwan Jungle Safari, River Rafting Adventure, Kathmandu Shopping Tour or Scenic Everest Flight.

Day 12: Transfer for your final flight departure
The trip ends, our Airport Representative will drop you to the Kathmandu International Airport for your flight departure from Nepal.
